A regular day in Valhalla //ENG

He looked at her and gave a small nod. "It's nice." he said, which was as close as she would get to a compliment from his side - he wasn't really the best at complimenting clothes and such, he found it rather pointless to compliment clothes, he would rather compliment the person as a whole.

"Great!" she grinned and walked inside. Soon enough, she came outside in her usual clothes again, but with the new clothes under her arm.

He just waited for her, and offered her a soft smile when she returned. "Where to now, milady?" he asked.

"... I don't really know." she blushed slightly. "I only really needed to get the dress today."

"Should I escort you back to your village then, milady?" he suggested. "I am sure that I can get a hold of a couple of horses, to make the journey comfortable."

She nodded. "I'd like that." she sent a soft smile his way.

"If you wait here with Oliver, then I'll be right back, milady." a smile and then he was going, after telling Oliver to take care of Eira while he was gone, which made the dog sit down right beside her, looking up at her with his huge yellow eyes, and the tongue sticking out the side of his mouth.

She nodded, smiled, and stayed right there as she was asked to.

He soon returned with two horse, a white and a black one, both very well-fed and carrying the king's mark. He gave her the rein of the white horse. "Do you need help getting up, milady?" he asked.

She shook her head. Riding lessons had been one of the top priorities when she was younger, so she got up on the horse's back rather effortlessly. "... My riding teacher always praised me." she chuckled a little.

His smile unconsciously grew a little as he got up on the other horse - he couldn't help it, he simply found it so attractive if a woman could take care of herself, mostly because in the end it was tiring to always have to help women defend themselves, or help them with the simplest of things, yeah sometimes it was fun enough and it helped you seem stronger, but having to help a woman 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - well, that was probably why he wasn't married yet.

And, with a smile, she set the horse in motion towards the Lín-village.

And he followed, staying by her side, while Oliver walked on the other, making sure that she was protected.

"So... Now I'm just being curious, but are you going to participate in the knights' duel next week? Or is it only the ones of the very highest rank that does?"

"As you know, everyone with a knight rank can compete, but it's the fewest under the highest rank who does, mostly because you can get serious injuries and such." he answered, looking straight ahead of them. "I've considered entering the duels, especially the sword-duels, and perhaps even the lance-duels, but... I'm not sure yet." a shrug.

"I'd be rooting for you if you do." she chuckled.

"Well, most men enters because they need the attention of women, or simply want to impress them, but I..." he laughed. "I impress by simply existing." yes, he was very fond of himself at times.

"Uhuh... So you say." she was still smiling, but rolled her eyes at him, too.

A small smirk, but he didn't say anything. He kept his eyes on their surroundings, making sure to constantly be on guard - unlike Oliver who was running a bit ahead, chasing a poor butterfly.

"Hmm... Let's say, if you won the tournament, you might have a good shot with me..." and she could get our of a potential arranged marriage. "Would that be enough for you to enter? I might even give you a kiss as your prize."

"Milady, it would be an honor to win the tournament for you, but I need no reward." a smile. "And besides, milady, I do believe that your mother would not approve of you promising a knight something so precious as a kiss."

"Hmm. I doubt she minds when it's a knight and above. She would if it was a mere warrior."

"Maybe you should ask her first, to be sure, milady." another smile and he stopped his horse as they reached the outskirts of her village.

She nodded. "Maybe I will." then she grinned and got down from the horse, giving him a nod of gratitude. "Thank you for your services today. I'll find my way home from here."

"Be careful milady, and should you ever need my services again, then you can find my at the king's castle, or in the towns." a smile and he took the reins of the second horse, turning them around and riding back home again.

She nodded, and smiled after him, then went straight for the largest house in town.
